Where: Home Shores Café, Dominion Museum Building, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Wellington
When: Friday 26 June 2015
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm (guided tours of the exhibition from 5:15pm)
All attendees at the conference are warmly invited to the Welcome Function hosted by Lieutenant General Rhys Jones CNZM on the evening of Friday 26 June. Generously sponsored by NZTC International, who celebrate 30 years in the language business this year, this event gives you a fantastic opportunity to mingle with other translators and interpreters, including some of the conference speakers, while you enjoy superb wine or juice and finger food. Henry Liu, a New Zealand interpreter and President of the International Federation of Translators, will be giving a presentation at the conference. He will be with us at the Welcome Function and will be happy to talk with attendees. Other conference speakers will also be present. It is also hoped that some representatives of the press will also accept our invitation to the event and enjoy discussing the world of translation and interpreting with you, its professionals.
Join us at the Home Shores Café in the Dominion Museum Building, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Wellington, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday 26 June for a stimulating and sociable evening. More information about the venue can be found at: www.greatwarexhibition.nz/visit.
For those wanting to visit the exhibition prior to the Welcome Function, there will be the opportunity to take a guided tour from 5:15pm.
To help us cater for this event, please indicate whether or not you will be attending when you register for the conference.
Please note that this is a change of venue from that previously advertised.
